Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology of the University of California Davis and is the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was credited with launching research in modern science on the memory of children's eyewitnesses as well as the role of children as victims within court settings. Professor Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also received various international and national prizes. She has been consulted by numerous governments and agencies throughout the globe regarding policies and research related to child victims in the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the chief of the American Psychological Society's three divisions including Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
