Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift is an American country and pop singer/songwriter. The songs of Taylor Swift tell the story of heartbreak and loss for an infant girl. Swift showed an interest in the arts at a very young stage and progressed swiftly from roles in children's theatre until her first performance before the crowd of a thousand. Swift started writing songs at the age of 11. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers game. Swift had taken her inspirations from Shania Twain's music and that of her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of country music, created the original songs she wrote to express her feelings of alienation. Swift was only 13 when her parents decided to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm to relocate towards Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her time to reaching out to country labels located in Nashville.
